Chateau de Portets at Wine Tourism Workshop 2019
On March 12, 2019, the second edition of the Workshop Œnotourisme was held at Hangar 14 in Bordeaux. This B2B development event for the œnotourisme sector brought together 200 exhibitors, 1500 visitors, and 10 conferences. This event was created thanks to the company Need Wine, an important player in œnotourisme in Bordeaux. It brings together various œnotouristic professionals with the aim of creating a federation and an exchange within this thriving sector. During this day, many personalities were present, such as Hervé Novelli (President of the Higher Council of œnotourisme), Sylvie Cazes (President of the Foundation for the Culture and Civilizations of Wine), Jacques Legros (TF1 presenter and President of the Vigne et Vin group), and many others.
This event was an opportunity for Château de Portets to meet many professionals and to exchange ideas about future projects. We shared a booth with Clémence Hermel from Château de l’Hospital, who is also based in the municipality of Portets.
During this day, we met, among others, Marcelline Tellier, who presented us with her company Forme & Château. Her concept: combining the world of tourism and sports to share a moment of relaxation and conviviality in unique locations.
We also got to know Arnaud Guelte from Vinovae. This company offers innovative goodies that will easily appeal to the most discerning travelers. Monsieur Guelte then presented us with his Vinottes, samples of wine in the form of mini bottles of 20 ml that you can take anywhere (even in the cabin of an airplane). You can already find the Vinottes Château de Portets at the property’s boutique.
We were fortunate to meet many other French wine tourism stakeholders with whom we are working or will soon be working on various projects.
A big thank you to the team at Need Wine for this wonderful event that allowed us to exchange ideas with professionals in the wine tourism industry from the Bordeaux region, as well as from other wine-producing regions in France.
