The Château de Portets in the magazine Télé 7 Jours
We are very happy and proud to share with you our recent publication in the magazine Télé 7 Jours, in their “Escapade œnoculturelle” dossier dedicated to Wine Route of Bordeaux in Graves and Sauternes.
Under the title “Experiencing Green Bubbles”, the article highlights our commitment to responsible wine tourism.
We are delighted that the journalist Emmanuelle Touraine was able to capture the essence of our approach, driven by the desire to offer an immersive and accessible wine experience for everyone, while respecting nature.
What is the Green Bubble?
A Green Bubble is an eco-station designed around gentle forms of mobility (on foot, by bicycle…) and offering routes dotted with cultural, heritage or natural points of interest. It is a new way to discover a territory by taking the time to fully immerse oneself in its history and landscapes.
At Château de Portets, the Green Bull offers a walking tour of about 1.3 hours, guided by a free app to download on your smartphone. From the courtyard of the estate, you will pass through the Renaissance terrace, the vineyards, the village’s alleys, and follow the Garonne River all the way to the old river port. At each stop, the app will provide you with anecdotes, historical explanations, and secrets about the terroir.
You will discover the origin of the name “Portets”, the remains of its intense past commercial activity, its built heritage, and of course, the Château itself: a medieval fortress that has become an elegant Renaissance residence, today a family-run wine estate animated by a passion for wine.
The visit ends beautifully with a tasting of 3 of our own wines, and you will leave with a glass engraved as a souvenir of this special moment.
