The Portets Rosé has arrived!

We are delighted to present you our latest creation: the Portets Rosé! A first for the Château de Portets, which we invite you to discover.

It looks like the South…

The Rosé de Portets, composed at 100% merlot, was developed by direct pressing of the berries in order to obtain a pale and slightly salmon-colored dress Which reminds us of Mediterranean rosés. Its nose opens with a scent of summer peach and grapefruit, followed by a gentle note of wild strawberry and a slight floral background. On the palate, a refreshing acidity, lemony, balances the wine. In the end, a very summery fruity sensation transports you to moments of pleasure in the sun.

Rose wine from Bordeaux?!

But yes! Contrary to what one might think, Bordeaux began producing rosé wine in the Middle Ages, a wine that was called «clear-cut». You can still find this very dark rosé style in the region today. At Château de Portets, we preferred Go on a trip to the south, With a very clear, very light rosé, it will pair wonderfully with your appetizers, your mixed salads, grilled or raw fish (carpaccio, tartar, sushi...), you can even try it on a fruit salad for dessert!
